This is Africa at its raw natural beauty, splendid national parks and game reserves topped by the majestic Victoria Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world. The Parks and Game Reserves offer a varied terrain and an abundance of wildlife including some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Lake Kariba, on the other hand, offers a unique environment as a place of spectacular landscape and serene African sunsets. The lake’s fresh water and mineral riches are life sustaining for a multitude of animals.

DAY 1 - Depart
Depart from your home city to major gateway. Connect to international flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, connect to onward flight to Victoria Falls.

DAY 2 and 3 - Victoria Falls
Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport where you will be transferred to the first-class Kingdom Hotel. Victoria Falls is one of the most stirring sights in Africa. At the falls, the mile wide Zambezi River suddenly plunges 30 stories, spilling water at a volume of more than 2 million gallons per second. The rainbows, mist and a tremendous roar of the water fills the senses. Overnight at the Kingdom Hotel for 2 nights. (B)

The Kingdom Hotel is a modern hotel, located in the heart of Victoria Falls. Set in a beautiful garden, the Kingdom Hotel boasts a large swimming pool, 3 restaurants, three bars, and a casino housed in a separate building. Optional tours including river rafting, canoe trips, horseback riding, tours of the rainforest, sunset cruises and a visit to the craft village are among the many activities offered in Victoria Falls.

DAY 4 and 5 - Lake Kariba
Following breakfast, depart via air transfer to the city of Kariba on Lake Kariba. This lake was created when a hydroelectric dam was built in 1959, and it is now a center of water activities, including fishing, water skiing and sailing. The wildlife on its shores includes elephants, buffalos, rhinos, crocodiles and hippos. Lake Kariba, surrounded by mountains, offers a beautiful setting for game drives, game walks, boat rides and bird watching. Transfer by air to the Katete Lodge, where you will stay for the next 2 nights. (FULL BOARD).

DAY 6 and 7 -
Hwange National Park
Following breakfast, say goodbye to the beautiful Lake Kariba and board your flight to Hwange National Park. The Hwange National Park is the largest in Zimbabwe, encompassing 8,760 square miles. There is an abundance of wild game, including 27,000 elephants, ensuring the possibility of sightings. Also found in Hwange are white rhinos, lions, great kudu, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, baboons and over 400 species of birds. Overnight at the Hwange Safari Lodge, your home for next two nights. (B)

Hwange Safari Lodge offers all the comforts of big-city sophistication, but was built and is run with the lover of wilderness in mind. Located just outside the Hwange National Park, the lodge is particularly noted for its magnificent viewing platform that overlooks the waterhole where many of the animals come to drink. Optional activities include game drives in open vehicles, bush walks, sunset trails and safari excursions.

DAY 8 - Homeward Bound
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Hwange National Park airport for a short flight to Victoria Falls Airport to board your flight to Johannesburg where you will connect to your international flight home. (B)

Weather and Clothing
As Zimbabwe is south of the equator, the
seasons are reversed from those in the
Northern Hemisphere. Winter in New York
is summer in Harare. However, the seasons are
not extreme - overall, the climate is very
similar to that of Southern California.
Because of the elevation, it rarely gets
above 90 or lower than 45 degrees.

Neutral colors are best for safaris as they
don’t show dust as much as bright colors.
Camouflage clothing is illegal.
