DAY 1 - Depart
Board a flight from your home town to a major gateway. Connect with your flight to South Africa.

DAY 2 - Cape Town
Welcome to Cape Town. The transfer awaits to take you to the elegant Victoria & Alfred Hotel or similar. The hotel is located in a historic 1904 Quay warehouse in the heart of the popular Waterfront development. This hotel has spectacular views and a convenient proximity to a vast selection of shops, a gym, golf course, the Central Business District and all major tourist attractions. To be a guest of the Victoria & Alfred Hotel is to experience the essence of all that is the Cape. Overnight stay.

DAY 3 - Cape Town - Half-Day City Tour
This tour includes The Castle (restored fort), the Flower Market, the Malay Quarter, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront area, and an ascent of Table Mountain by cable car. Overnight at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel or similar.

DAY 4 - Cape Town
Full-Day - Peninsula Tour

Depart for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve along one of South Africa’s most scenic and popular routes. Drive through Sea Point, visit Hout Bay and enjoy the dramatic views from Chapman’s Peak Drive. Then drive on to the Cape Point, where ecosystems and oceans meet. In the afternoon, drive through the historical naval base of Simon’s Town and continue through Muizenberg to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Overnight at Victoria & Alfred or similar.

DAY 5 - Cape Town - Winelands Tour
This classic tour takes you through spectacular vineyards, covered valleys and along scenic country roads. You will visit Franschoek, a thriving town first settled by the French Huguenots in 1688. Then stop in the university town of Stellenbosch, the second oldest European settlement in South Africa. The town has retained much of its 18th & 19th century charm and has some of the best preserved historical buildings in South Africa. The scenery is combined with two wine-tasting events. A cellar tour and the opportunity to buy the local wines make this tour the ideal introduction to the Cape Winelands. Overnight at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel.

DAY 6 - Garden Route Tour - Cape Town to Oudtshoorn
After breakfast you will depart Cape Town and head east through the Strand and Gordon’s Bay, via Betty’s Bay and Kleinmond to Hermanus for tea. Leaving the coast, travel onto Riviersonderend and Swellendam. Continue inland over the Tradouw Pass entering the Little Karoo at Barrydale. Proceed to Ladismith, set against the imposing Swartberg Mountains. Then it is on to Calitzdorp and Oudtshoorn. Overnight at a Guest House.

DAY 7 - Oudtshoorn - Knysna
Breakfast is followed by a visit the Cango Caves, vast limestone caverns which have still only been partially explored. Then drive to the Crocodile and Cheetah Ranch to view these reptiles at close range. Then head for the Ostrich Show Farm, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch of Ostrich Egg and Steak before a guided tour of the show farm which traces the ostrich from egg to adulthood. Head for Knysna traveling via the spectacular Outeniqua Mountain Range. Overnight at a Guest House.

DAY 8 - Knysna
After breakfast, perhaps you might travel the scenic route from George to Knysna on the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe, a nostalgic steam train. Later you will return to Knysna for oyster tasting and free time to explore the town of Knysna before boarding the John Benn Ferry for a sunset cruise on the Lagoon to the Heads. Overnight at a Guest House in Knysna.

DAY 9 - Tsitsikamma, Port Elizabeth and Plettenberg Bay
Enjoy breakfast, head eastward for Titsikamma, stopping briefly in Plettenberg Bay, across the deep gorges of the Groot and Bloukrans Rivers. Visit the Tsitsikamma National Park with its contrasting beauty of sea, forest, and rivers. Depart for Port Elizabeth, crossing the Storms River Bridge, on the eastern boundary. Continue through farmlands and finally ending in the suburbs of Port Elizabeth. Fly to Johannesburg for overnight stay at hotel near the airport.

DAY 10 thru 12 -Sabi-Sands - Private Game Reserve
Take the shuttle back to airport for flight to Sabi Sands. Upon arrival, a representative will greet you and transfer you to one of many private lodges, where you will spend the next two nights. Included will be all meals, two daily game-drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles accompanied by an experienced Ranger and Tracker, Interactive bush walks accompanied by an experienced guide, three meals daily including all teas and coffees.

DAY 12
Enjoy your last early morning game drive before you are taken to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. You will then board a flight to the U.S., arriving on DAY 13 .

Weather and Clothing
The climate is mild throughout South Africa.
Sometimes it does rain in the afternoon,
during the summer (Nov - Feb). Swimming
is possible during the entire year in Durban.

While on safari, plan to wear comfortable,
casual clothing. Do not forget that the
seasons are reversed.
